Cornelia has been teaching at Polli Talu Arts Center for 6 years now. Every summer she magically creates a sacred space for women of all ages to connect to the goddess within through meditative circle dances, mediations of the heart and the joyous communion with other women. Each year she focuses on a particular aspect of womanhood. Each time participants find themselves delighted, moved, inspired and "blissed out".

The wild queen is dancing. What could that mean for me as a woman?
Being wild means being connected to our instinctive power which lives in the guts. This power helps us to be grounded in dance and everyday life. Being my own queen stands for being totally myself and owning my own power, for standing tall and taking responsibility for the moment.

Everything is possible in dance if we stay open and courageously welcome new situations, be it stomping or jumping, standing upright or rolling on the floor. Our body is a wonderful instrument. It responds to music and enjoys turning and spinning with the others and connecting to the Great Whole.

No prior dance training is necessary.

Cornelia Freise lives in Bremen, Germany. As a lawyer she worked on several scientific projects. Then the direction of her life changed. For 22 years now she has worked in the field of circle dances and dance therapy. She trained in Biodanza - Dance of Life, a technique developed by Rolando Toro from Chile. Since 1992 she has worked exclusively with dance. In 1996 she founded, The Dancing Wild Sow - "Institute for Transformation through Dance, Meditative Dancing and Dance Therapy" in Bremen which offers "Dancing from the Space of the Hear" a 2-year dance education for people from different professional backgrounds. Since 2002 she conducts workshops in Singapore, California and Estonia. Since 1985 she is following the mystical path of the golden Sufis which inspires and carries her work.

Fee Euro 650 includes the workshop fee, meals, housing and transfer from the airport to Polli Talu Arts Center (international travel is not included)

DID YOU KNOW. . .Wine consumption among Americans is up, while beer consumption is down, spirits is about flat, and overall alcohol consumption is down according to a new study published in the American Journal of Medicine. The lead researcher was Dr. R. Curtis Ellison, who has appeared twice on 60 Minutes and is the founder of the Institute on Lifestyle and Health at Boston University School of Medicine. Middle-aged people are consuming about a third less alcohol than 50 years ago, due to a combination of more people who don't drink at all and more moderate consumption among those who do. Average alcohol consumption among men has gone from about two and a half to one and a half drinks per day. While the precise reasons for these trends aren't clear, it's reasonable to suggest that the public has heard about the health benefits of moderate wine consumption, the dangers of binge drinking, and the importance of integrating wine into a healthy lifestyle. If so, that's good news all around.

Small Group Training: This program is great for a group of friends or family (4-6 people) that is looking to workout together. In the fun, non-threatening atmosphere of your friends you will get a workout that will be fun and challenging and leave you feeling good about yourself and your accomplishments. The exercises will vary and each person gets a different exercise through each set completed. This program is for every level of fitness. Very budget friendly!

Boot Camp: This is an exercise class that is fun, challenging, and very motivational. It is geared for all ages and abilities. It is an outside fitness class, held rain or shine that will have you encouraging yourself and your fellow participants. It will consist of exercises from basic calisthenics, walking/running and athletic drills. You will work to the best of your ability and feel great about your accomplishments.

$15.00 per class or
8 classes for $95.00

Core / Functional Training: The core is the most important part of your body. The stronger your core, the easier it will be for you to complete your daily activities and improve function in your regular tasks. This program will focus on making your core stronger and you more functional.
